Traffic Calming on Pitfield Rd between McCowan Rd and Brimley Rd.
Traffic levels and speed on Pitfield Rd. between Brimley and McCowan has been an issue raised by several residents.
To reduce traffic levels and speed, City's Traffic Operations staff recently completed a review that supported the installation of speed humps along Pitfield Rd. between Brimley and McCowan.
These initial assessments involve checking the positioning of these speed humps every 60 to 90 metres. They will avoid driveways, intersections and pedestrian crossovers.
A report would likely come to Scarborough Community Council in March. As your Ward Councillor, I am seeking your input on whether you support or oppose the installation of speed humps on Pitfield between Brimley and McCowan.
