Crime & Safe Neighbourhoods

Community safety is something I regard as being a paramount issue. I officially took office in December 1, 2018, and the first event I attended as a Councillor was a Crime Prevention Workshop with presenters from officers from 42 Division.

On December 10, 2018 I attended another event regarding community safety: Toronto Police Service Chief's Town hall.

As recently as March 4th, 2019, I sat down with two constables, Constable Gary Gomez and Constable Alison Burns, from 42 Division to discuss how our offices can better work together in promoting safe communities.

As a councillor I will continue to attend and promote vigorously events that deal with community safety throughout the year and across the ward.

I intend to be working closely with our Toronto Police services and giving them the supports they deserve to keep our communities safe.

I have a great deal of respect and much confidence in our Toronto Police Services and City Council should continue to support our officers.

I always like to hear what you think about the issues. Please write to me at about what you think of Crime and Safe Neighborhoods.
