2) Recent Shootings in 42 Division (-8% compared to last year)
Action: TPS has identified areas of high concern and have made strategic efforts at preventing these shootings in those areas.
3) Purse Snatch Robberies
Action: TPS and YRP have identified a group responsible for purse snatch robberies targeting Asian females in the Steeles and Kennedy area.
4) Residential B&Es – front door knock, rear door forced
Action: TPS has identified an individual responsible for residential B&Es. The male, typically working in tandem, will have an accomplice knock on the front door and when no one responds, the suspect will attend the rear sliding door and make entry.
5) Auto thefts: 28% increase compared to last year, highest occurrences in past 3 years to date
Recent trend in any Japanese make vehicle (Lexus, Toyota, or Honda) thefts.
Action: Area and time has been identified – officers have been made aware and special attention has been brought to the area of interest.
